We purchased our property in the Spring of 1998. Our daughter was just two weeks old when we began renovations. We named it Black Pond Farm for the dark color of the water in the upper pond, which was caused by leaves and debis falling into the water.
One of the features we added to the property is a 4,000 square foot aviary. We raise pheasants and quail along with other bird varieties.
Our Fernery has been host to three elopements. It’s a magical location on the property, believed to be visited regularly by fairies.
All of the stunning rockwork on the property was created by Tim Chovanak over the years. Every rock was selected for the best placement and all the mortar was mixed by hand in a simple 5 gallon bucket.
By appointment or invitation only.
