Tim and Brenda's Castle Wedding In Scotland

(Preston?  Yes, we named our son Preston) Preston Michael

Our Bridal Consultant arranged for us to stay at Prestonfield House.

This is where we saw scottish highland cows for the first time.

Tim and I spotted them in the pasture and wanted to take them home with us.  The caretaker told us, "They're good eatin'!"

We were horrified,  "No!  As PETS!"

As a first wedding Anniversary present, Tim surprised me with three of our own.  We began searching for property AFTER we purchased them, which was why we moved from the city  to our 15-acre farm in the country.

Prestonfield House was also home to a large number of peafowl (peacocks) that roosted high in the trees outside our room.  Tim befriended a number of them on our wedding night by feeding them crackers from our window.

We owned peafowl  here at Black Pond  Farm for  a brief period of time, but found that they were causing problems with the nearest neighbors with their large roaming radius.

Brenda truly loved having them as pets and hopes to have more again in the future when they can be better contained/trained.

Prestonfield House is worth the trip to Edinburgh Scotland!
