Erin The Artist

Erin woke up before me this morning.  When I staggered upstairs looking for coffee, this is what I found.

Looks like she  made quick work of climbing up on the kitchen counter (she's lucky she didn't break her neck doing it) and finding the "Sharpie" brand felt pens.  I had the cover off the futon to be cleaned (we are potty training too) , she created this masterpiece.  Ya' know, the markers are a marvelous thing when you DON'T want them to wash out -- but not so good on the white futon mattress.

There's NO WAY this is coming out.  It was so stubborn that I just signed her name and dated it -- now it's ARTWORK.

This, on the heals of our trip to Montana to visit her Grandparents.

First, we stopped at her Grandparents home in Moses Lake.  There she drew on their bathroom door in the master bedroom. Grandma wasn't concerned, but I made Erin clean it anyway!

Once in Montana, she found my makeup bag and went to the walls and light carpet in THEIR master bedroom with lipstick and lip liner! (Grandma and Grandpa were SO impressed).

I will need to get pictures from her Uncle Adam to share...you will be amazed.

Now our little artist is napping in her bed.  She looks like an angel -- with smudges of black marker on her face.

Her Daddy says,

"I think a little artwork is healthy."
